My 2nd Wheel Angel wheelset — this one felt like it was made for me This is my second pair of wheels from Andy at Wheel Angel, and the story behind it is what makes it special. When I first went looking for a slim-profile wheelset, Wheel Angel's website only listed 44mm and up — so slim wasn't really on the table. I reached out to Andy anyway, and it turned out he happened to have a 32mm rim lying around. What a coincidence — it genuinely felt like this wheel was meant for me. The build is exactly what I'd expect from my first pair: super lightweight (~944g), noticeably responsive under power, and I've really felt it on climbs — the wheel just wants to accelerate. I was a bit worried about how a slim 32mm profile would handle on flats, but no issues there either — stable and efficient with no twitchiness. Between Andy's personal service — sourcing a rim that wasn't even listed — and the ride quality itself, this has been another great experience with Wheel Angel.
